Basic Information

The goal of the Indie Game Bazaar is to support local small businesses in the Board Game and Tabletop Game industry by giving them a place to show off and sell their wares leading up to the holiday season. It is also fantastic way to take care of holiday shopping and celebrate a healthy community! Come to Edgewater Public Market on November 15th from noon to 5pm and be ready to get your game on!

While we aren’t specifically organizing any game play during the event, we do encourage community members to bring a few games to play, bust open their newly purchased games from vendors, or showcase some game designs that they are working on! We just ask that you be mindful of others and be ready to share the space.

We would also like to thank Stellar Factory for sponsoring some prizes for attendees! Anyone who supports one of our lovely vendors will earn a chance to win a Stellar Factory game!

List of Vendors/Exhibitors (So Far)*

*This list may change as the event nears. This list does not include any of the permanent vendors at Edgewater Public Market.

Take a look at Last year:

Last year’s Indie Game Bazaar was hosted at Zymos Brewing Company. There were over 170 attendees throughout the 4 hour event, which we had to keep on rotation considering the venue’s capacity was 100! We squeezed in 10 vendors/exhibitors and led to the sale of over 70 indie games from those vendors who had items to sell!

What is new this year?

This year’s Indie Game Bazaar will be on November 15th! We are moving to the much larger Edgewater Public Market! This means there will be much more room for vendors/exhibitors, as well as attendees. We will be extending the event duration to 5 hours (12-5pm), and we will have a lot more foot traffic! There will also be more table space for any attendees looking to play some games during the event.

We are building a waitlist for vendor/Exhibitor Applications!

While we are at capacity for vendors, we are still accepting applications for vendor/exhibitor spaces in case any of the current vendors need to drop out. Please take a look at the following information to see what the event will entail, and send us an email at waterbear.workshop@gmail.com with information about your business if you would like a spot. Don’t hesitate to reach out us with additional questions.

Each vendor will be given an 8x3ft space to set up their own equipment for vending/exhibiting. If you need more space than this, we can discuss this possibility individually. If you need less space than this, we can also discuss possibilities for splitting (without any split fees).

What you need to know:

Due to the growth of the event from last year, there are a few requirements that we need to be met by the vendors/exhibitors:

  • Vendors/exhibitors will be asked to place a $25 deposit for their spaces. This will be refunded once the event is complete, or if you cancel more than 30 days prior to the event. Any vendors/exhibitors who cancel within 30 days of the event will not be eligible for a refund. This is meant to discourage last minute drop outs.
  • Vendors/exhibitors will be asked to contribute $25 toward marketing efforts for the event. We also ask that you pinky swear to spread the word far and wide through your own social media, personal sphere of influence, or alpine yodeling efforts.
  • You will need to sign a vendor agreement provided by Edgewater Public Market. We will send this to you upon your request to join, or if you simply ask to see it. It includes such things as:
    • requires vendors to collect Edgewater sales tax
    • requires vendors/exhibitors to carry liability insurance for their space (we can provide links for insurance options, and they tend to be cheap)
    • vendor conduct agreement
  • More specific information will be provided upon hearing that you are interested in joining. We mostly want to make sure the event runs smoothly and everyone benefits while staying on the up and up.

Next steps/How to Apply:

Send us an email at waterbear.workshop@gmail.com letting us know that you want to be a vendor/exhibitor and telling us a little about your business. We will follow up to sort out all of the clerical nitty gritty details. Make sure to make the subject something like “Indie Game Bazaar” or “We would love to be a Vendor/Exhibitor” so we are sure to see it. Avoid subject lines such as “Hot Singles in Your Area”, though we may take a look at those anyway.

We look forward to another great event!
